Wolterton Hall and parkland offers a setting like no other, making it the perfect exclusive use wedding venue.
As a very special home, we host just six exclusive celebrations each year for those looking for the ultimate private wedding venue.
Each wedding will be completely individual and a true reflection of your style. From the moment you decide to celebrate your marriage at Wolterton Hall to the day you depart, we will be on hand to make your experience as utterly special as possible.
A unique wedding venue
Wolterton Hall is a magnificent 18th century Palladian Hall and one of the UK’s top 500 stately homes.
Inspired by Andrea Palladio, the classical architect from Vicenza, all the rooms are set around two beautiful staircases, lit overhead by roof lights. The parade of rooms around the house are typically Palladian, as is the enormous arched window in the Venetian Room.
Take in the breathtaking park and lake views from the 100 foot long balcony. Then make your way downstairs to the grand Venetian room with its large ached window, all constructed in the romantic style of Classical architect Andrea Palladio.
Tailored wedding options
Wolterton Hall makes for the most romantic wedding location. Outdoors there is space for up to 200 in a marquee in the estate’s grounds. Those looking for a more intimate wedding affair can dine indoors in the Saloon, hosting up to 70.
The Main Hall includes a suite of eight grand double height state rooms with deep corniced ceilings, pedimented classical door cases, magnificent fireplaces, large sash windows and chandeliers.
All of these rooms have original marble fireplaces carved by Richard Fisher of York as well as intricately moulded cornices and ceilings. The American walnut for all the doors was a gift from Queen Caroline to Horatio.
Guests can enjoy drinks served in the Marble Hall and a sit-down reception in the Saloon. Step through the full height windows in the Saloon to take advantage of our huge 100 feet balcony with magnificent views of the lake and steps down to the South lawns and Arcade.
You can also relax in our Portrait Room, the Venetian Room and the Boudoir. With the State Dining Room offering the perfect space for a smaller party.
Idyllic honeymoon
An opulent State Bedroom Suite in the main hall is perfect for newlyweds to spend their wedding night in style. This luxurious room includes a super comfortable Vi-Spring bed, unique Dormbracht rain shower, a freestanding bathtub decorated with classical alabaster panels and a champagne cupboard. Both rooms have original chandeliers.
