This England – scenes from new Sky drama filmed at Wolterton Park

Wolterton Hall as Downing Street and Chevening in new Boris Johnson series

A new drama starring Kenneth Brannagh, set for release on Wednesday 28 September, includes numerous scenes filmed at Norfolk’s Wolterton Park.

Sky Original This England is a drama following Boris Johnson, played by Brannagh, as the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic unfolded in the UK. It will air on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW, across six episodes.

Wolterton Park was selected as a key filming location for the drama and represents both Downing Street and Chevening. Various rooms and external locations were dressed as sets for a variety of scenes.

Peter Sheppard, owner of Wolterton Park said: “We’re looking forward to watching the drama and spotting scenes filmed around the Hall and estate. We are always delighted to welcome film and TV productions.

“Wolterton Hall is a popular location because it’s readily accessible from London, and we have a broad selection of rooms and buildings that are all furnished in period style. We particularly enjoyed having a red carpet on the Hall stairs for a while, to represent the interior of Downing Street.”
